SEPIA | A lot of my clients ask me what it is and we just love the sepia tone – as it adds a really warm feeling to this beautiful image of Cass that came to visit us recently 🥰
What is it? Sepia is a 130 year old creative toning process, with roots as both an artistic ‘colour’ statement and an enhancer of the archival qualities of a printed photo to help a printed image deteriorate more slowly.
It is a form of photographic print toning – a tone added to a black and white image to “warm” up the tones (it is still technically a monochromatic image and is still considered black and white).
