RETHINK BIRTH | Birth does not define your strength as a woman. Always remember to have the facts about different modes of delivery – it’s empowering. You are capable of making up YOUR own mind, so do ask and ensure that you are properly informed about risks and treatment when it comes to birth whilst you are still pregnant ❤️
Love ❤️ | Today we are giving you the definition of love from Brené Brown to go with the positive birth affimrmation. Why? Well, we think she is an amazing woman that will inspire you and she makes a lot of sense. So here it is:
“We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection.
Love is not something we give or get; it is something that we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between two people when it exists within each one of them – we can only love others as much as we love ourselves.
Shame, blame, disrespect, betrayal, and the withholding of affection damage the roots from which love grows. Love can only survive these injuries if they are acknowledged, healed and rare.”
Your body knows exactly what to do | Just think, your body has grown your baby and your body will also prepare for childbirth naturally throughout your pregnancy.
In the last few weeks, it does some final preparations. When you understand what is happening during this time, you can interpret your body’s signals more effectively and this will help you prepare for birth.

RETHINK BIRTH CHALLENGE | WEEK 2 AND DAY 2 | This week Hypnobumps will be providing you with a positive affirmation, related to labour and surges.
Contractions usually last for about 1 minute when you are in active labour. Yes they can be incredibly intense and strong but it IS JUST ONE MINUTE. Then there will be a break before the next one starts. Break each minute down and take each 1 minute contraction at a time. YOU can do anything for a minute!
Feel free to print them or to put up around your home. In doing so, you’ll be creating a positive and inspirational environment for you to enjoy your pregnancy in.
The word affirmation comes from the Latin affirmare, originally meaning “to make steady, strengthen.” Did you know that self-affirmation has been demonstrated to lower stress and rumination (Koole et al., 1999; Weisenfeld et al., 2001).
